Years 6 English Tutoring

Preliminary note

In ALL courses students receive weekly homework that is marked in detail and returned promptly to enable them to understand their strengths as well as areas of improvement. This is a vital aspect of their progress.

It is important for students to expand their personal vocabulary in order to enrich the range of their expression both written and oral, therefore vocabulary extension and testing continues throughout the year in all classes.

FAQ

All English skill areas are developed through teaching a broad range of literary, non-literary and multimedia texts exposing students to a variety of enduring concerns in society and human experience.

Every week students complete and send in their homework which is then comprehensively marked and returned with detailed feedback. Students can then identify their strengths and areas for improvement, which is crucial for advancing towards English proficiency.

Class participation by students along with the weekly homework allows the teacher to evaluate their progress while offering them guidance towards improvement. This is also reflected in annual reports.

Teachers and students are engaged in an ongoing interaction in the class that includes both questions and contributions from students as well as questions & answers between the teacher and the students.

Normally all students will be offered a place in a class. Please contact us for more information anytime.
